The seat of the Clan MacLean is Duart Castle. Every four or five years, the Clan hold a gathering at which a number of tours and festivities are put on, with the attendance growing more recently to demand the erection of the biggest marquee ever put up on the Island. On the final day, the gathering itself takes place at the Castle, with a little ceremony and a lot a merriment. The best bit is trying to keep the gathered in check whilst the traditional group photo. |
