Great Uncle James
If the girraffe pic on the first page is cited as the best piece of Binner photography, then this photo, dubbed Great Uncle James, is surely silver medal winner. Having set off from the Red Lion, we would walk along West Kennet Avenue to the Barrow. The trip offered many photo opportunities, this one features James in a suitably imperial mood. |

The Photo Stone
It came from no-where, but after a few years of Binning and taking photos, we looked back through the archives and realised that this particular stone, in the avenue, was a constant feature in our sets. Thus it became known as the photo stone. This is a peculiar picture in which Wayne and Dave seem to have dissapeared, except for their hats and Katenbrau. |

The Photo Stone
Neil, Dave and Mick pose by the Phto Stone on the way down to the Barrow. Team photos at the stone tended to become the norm, though on this occasion the session was cut particularly short at the stench of a dead Badger lying to the right of the stone's base was just too much for the Binners. I am pleased to say that the Badger has now rotted away completely. |

The Photo Stone
A fuller collection of Binners, and by the looks of it, if there had been a dead Badger a mouldering on its grave, even that would not have deterred the joy of the moment. Personel are: Front: Mick and Wayne; Middle: Dave, Neil and James; and Back: Aiden. |

In the Barrow
On arrival at the Barrow, a brief cremony involving a bottle of Baileys, and on one occasion a shrink wrapped chicken leg from Budgens of Wendover, would be performed and then we'd settle down for a drink, chat, astral observation and, soon enough, sleep. Wayne is here again in his 'Solvite' shirt, spiritually connecting with the Barrow. |

Outcomers
Undoubtedly, the Barrow is an attraction to all kinds of People. When we first started going there, there were very few other night-time visitors. In the early nineties though there would often be some sort of party going on in the Barrow, which was usually fun, even if we had to sleep 'upstairs' when it settled down. These two people were some of the first we met, coming from Swindon. Probably married with kids now. |
